USA Baseball Announces 2025 NTIS Selections for Athlete Development Program
Following a rigorous scouting process at the National Team Identification Series (NTIS), 24 players were selected to join the 13U and 14U Athlete Development Programs. These athletes are now on the direct path to represent Team USA in international play.
USA Baseball has officially finalized the roster for the next phase of its national team pipeline. Following the conclusion of the Champions Cup in Cary, North Carolina, a select group of 24 athletes was chosen for the 13U and 14U Athlete Development Programs (ADP). These players represent the elite of the elite, having survived multiple rounds of regional and national tryouts throughout the 2025 season.
Standout selections include pitchers Wyatt Basham and Duncan Mount, who both showcased elite command and high-velocity fastballs during the NTIS showcase. The ADP serves as a week-long intensive training camp where players receive instruction from the USA Baseball coaching staff, focusing on both physical development and the mental side of the game. For many of these athletes, this is the first step toward eventually playing for the 15U, 18U, and Collegiate National Teams.
Grady Emerson, a former national team standout, addressed the new selections during the broadcast, emphasizing the importance of the opportunity. 'The ADP taught me things about the game I never even thought about,' Emerson said. 'It’s more than just being talented; it’s about learning how to play for the name on the front of the jersey.' The selected players will report to the National Training Complex in 2026 for their official induction into the program.
