Koltyn Watters and Cullen Scott Surge in Latest 2028 Class Rankings

A major update to the Class of 2028 rankings sees Michigan outfielder Koltyn Watters jump to the top five, while Texas two-way star Cullen Scott touches 99 mph on the mound. These athletes are leading a talented pack as the August recruiting window approaches.

The landscape of the Class of 2028 has shifted dramatically following the early summer showcase circuit. Koltyn Watters from Rochester Adams HS in Michigan made the most significant leap, moving from 23rd to 4th overall. Scouts are enamored with his 'loud' left-handed profile, which features a 104 mph max exit velocity paired with elite 6.47 speed in the 60-yard dash.

In Texas, Cullen Scott is making a case for being the most dominant two-way prospect in the country. The Melissa HS standout saw his stock rise to No. 5 after a spring season where his fastball reached 99 mph. While his right-handed power at third base is promising, it is his four-pitch mix and strike-throwing ability on the mound that has college recruiters and professional scouts on high alert.

As the Prep Baseball Future Games at LakePoint approach at the end of July, the pressure is mounting for the 2028 class. With the official recruiting window set to open on August 1st, these rankings provide a crucial roadmap for D1 programs looking to secure early commitments from the next generation of elite talent.
