The Class of 2027 took center stage at Miami's LoanDepot Park for the PG National Showcase, featuring 45 of the top 50 ranked players. Standouts like Dylan Seward and Chase Fuller updated their metrics in front of a massive scouting presence.

The 2026 PG National Showcase brought the best of the Class of 2027 to the home of the Miami Marlins, providing a professional backdrop for the nation's rising stars. All eyes were on top-ranked players like Dylan Seward and Chase Fuller, who both demonstrated why they sit at the peak of their class. The five-day event allowed players to update their 60-yard dash times and exit velocities while competing in live game situations against elite arms. One of the most talked-about performances came from left-handed pitcher Connor Salerno, whose fastball touched 96 mph. At 6'4 and 225 pounds, Salerno’s physical presence and velocity have made him a primary target for MLB scouts looking toward the 2027 draft. Other players like Carter Hadnot also turned heads with versatile defensive displays and switch-hitting ability. Jered Goodwin, Vice President of Scouting at Perfect Game, noted that the high level of participation from top-ranked prospects is a testament to the event's importance in the recruiting calendar. For many of these athletes, the metrics recorded this week will serve as the foundation for their final push into the collegiate and professional ranks. The showcase continues to be the premier venue for talent evaluation in amateur baseball.
