Class of 2028 Talent Evaluated at PG Junior National Showcase

The 2028 high school class showcased their potential at the East Cobb complex, with players like Grant Arnold and Bryan Mesa leading the way. Scouts were particularly impressed by the physical maturity and power displayed by these young prospects.

The 2026 PG Junior National Showcase provided an early look at the Class of 2028, and the results were nothing short of impressive. Grant Arnold, an outfielder/catcher from Florida, stood out as one of the most physically gifted players in attendance. Standing at 6'3 and 215 pounds, Arnold displayed massive left-handed power, including a home run that cleared the batter's eye in center field during game play. Not to be outdone, shortstop Bryan Mesa showed off his improved frame and defensive instincts. Mesa has grown to 6'3 and 195 pounds, adding significant impact to his offensive profile while maintaining the range that made him a top-ranked middle infielder. The event featured a standard battery of tests, including the 60-yard dash and infield/outfield drills, before transitioning into scouted games. Other notable performers included Theo Swafford and Jeremiah Hall, both of whom demonstrated advanced tools for their age. For these players, the showcase is the beginning of a long journey toward August 1st, when college coaches can officially begin contacting recruits in the 2028 class. The depth of talent displayed in Marietta suggests that the 2028 class will be one of the strongest in recent years, with several players already possessing professional-level tools.
